Trainers coming out and the roads of Zwift becoming crowded are sure indicators that it’s winter. Most of us complain endlessly about these indoor sessions, but lets be honest, that’s because they generally suck. Riding indoors (even with zwift & the best of trainers) is hot, lonely, monotonous, and physically difficult due to the complete lack of coasting or pausing for a stop sign. To help get through endless hours of indoor riding and still improve my fitness, I opt for a few key workouts, fun nutrition strategy, and different gear than I would for outdoor riding. Listed below are a few key workouts along with tips for keeping your indoor training productive.
