Pickled red onions are such a treat! They are easy to make and can be used to add flavor and crunch to so many different meals.
+ 1 Red Onion
+ 1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
+1 cup Water
+ 1 tbsp Turbinado Sugar
+ 1 tsp salt
+ 1/2 tbsp Spice Mixture:
Bring the water to a low boil. Meanwhile, slice the onion into thin rounds. When the water reaches a boil, add the vinegar and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the flavorings and remove from heat. Add the onions to a jar. Pour the vinegar mixture over the onions. Let cool before sealing and storing in the refrigerator.
Add to burgers, tacos, sandwiches, or anything you want for a natural flavor enhancer.
